Norwood Park Wedding Photography

An Autumn Wedding AT NORWOOD PARK

I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful autumnal wedding at Norwood Park in Nottinghamshire. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for the intimate celebration, with its stunning architecture and picturesque grounds. As a Nottingham wedding photographer, I strive to capture natural and relaxed moments throughout the day. The warm colours of autumn added an extra touch of magic to the photos, creating a cosy and romantic atmosphere.

Wedding Vows

The bride and groom exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends, sharing heartfelt moments that I was honoured to document. From the loving glances to the joyful laughter, every detail of the day was captured with care and precision.

Norwood Park provided endless opportunities for stunning photography, from the grand staircase to the lush gardens. I worked closely with the couple to create timeless images that they will cherish for years to come.

Your Norwood Park Wedding

I am grateful to have been a part of such a special day and to have captured the love and joy shared between the bride and groom.
If you are planning an wedding at Norwood Park, I would be honoured to be your photographer and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

Hodsock Priory Wedding Photography - Emma & Sam’s Wedding

Hodsock Priory

Emma and Sam’s wedding took place at Hodsock Priory on the Nottinghamshire/South Yorkshire border. I love the surroundings at Hodsock, five acres of beautiful formal gardens leading onto rolling countryside as far as the eye can see. These gardens attract visitors all year round but they are particularly impressive in early spring when the whole place is a carpet of snowdrops. Well worth a visit.

Bridal Preparations

It was a very warm sunny day for Emma and Sam The first thing you spot as you approach Hodsocks historic country house is the grade 1 listed Tudor gatehouse - the last remaining one in Nottinghamshire. I joined Emma’s bridal preparations in the designated dressing room along with her 5 bridesmaids. After hair and makeup it was then up to the bridal suite for pictures of the final reveal to her bridesmaids and father. Emma chose a beautiful neutral colour scheme.

Wedding Ceremony Rooms

Hodsock offers a choice of rooms in which to wed - the popular oak panelled historic hall or the more contemporary Buchanan Hall offering a luxurious chandelier lit neutral backdrop. Smaller intimate ceremonies can be held in the traditional library or light and airy Ante room. Of course there’s always outdoors - under the Georgian gazebo in the central garden, the rose garden, the bluebell wood, or even under the historic gatehouse.

The Wedding Day

After Emma and Sam’s ceremony we made our way to the light and airy bar area, opening up on the Italian terrace. Onto the wedding breakfast and speeches with amazing ‘ naked ‘ cake. The sun starting to set provided us with the perfect lighting to grab a few pictures of the happy couple in the fabulous gardens. It was then time to party!!!

Prestwold Hall Wedding Photography - The wedding of Beatriz & Chris

I had the privilege of shooting Chris and Beatriz’s wedding at Prestwold Hall which is a truly stunning venue in the heart of Leicestershire Wolds near Loughborough. Sophisticated, stylish and full of grandeur and elegance, this grade 1 stately home and the immaculately kept gardens sit in 250 acres of rolling parkland. Just breathtaking.

Bridal Preparations at Prestwold Hall

Beatriz’s family had travelled all the way from Brazil and i’m sure they would have not been disappointed in what awaited them at Prestwold. I joined Beatriz’s family and bridal party in the designated dressing room upstairs in Prestwold Hall, which like the rest of the manor house, was full of stunning architecture. Joining us was the wonderfully talented Rachel Liney for hair and makeup. I’ve worked with Rachel on a few occasions now and find her so easy going, always putting her clients at ease. So with a few nibbles and drinks Beatriz and her bridesmaids were totally relaxed and in good spirits and excited for the day ahead.

Prestwold Hall Wedding Ceremonies

Prestwold caters for all and offers a choice of locations for the actual wedding ceremony. There is a traditional parish church (St Andrew’s) within the grounds, just a stone’s throw from the hall’s front door. Alternatively, couples could go for an outdoor ceremony under the beautiful Georgian gazebo in the gardens. Chris and Beatriz chose to say “I do” within Prestwold Hall itself. Entering through the Orangery with her father beside her, Beatriz joined Chris in the library for the ceremony. The library with its impressive fireplace and large windows leading into the gardens, is a really elegant space. It is later transformed with fairy lights and the like, in readiness for the evening reception and party!

Food and Drink

Chris and Beastriz’s guests enjoyed an exceptional meal prepared by Prestwold’s head chef Marcus Lockwood. The hall also houses an elegant bar, reminiscent of a 1920’s gentleman’s club. As the weather was kind and it was a warm summer’s day, drinks were taken in the fabulous gardens. This is where I also took the newly weds for some beautiful portraits. The immaculately manicured gardens provide a stunning backdrop - simply perfect!!!
